AF4 Course: Investment Planning

AF4: ‘Investment Planning’ (30 Credits) The CII’s AF4 exam, ‘Investment Planning’, forms part of the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. It is a level 6 exam and upon completion will give you 30 credits at advanced level. AF4 builds on existing knowledge and assumes learners have already completed R02 Investment principles and risk or equivalent and/or J10 Discretionary investment management. The exam is made up of 3 compulsory case study questions that candidates have 3 hours to complete. You, therefore, need excellent technical knowledge, strong analytical skills, the ability to write clearly and concisely, and you must be able to perform within a tight timescale. As the application of knowledge is so crucial, it is considered that the case study approach to learning is highly appropriate in preparing for the Advanced Diploma. The nominal pass mark is 55%.
