The objective of this unit is to develop knowledge and understanding of the UK taxation system, and the ability to analyse the taxation treatment of individuals and trusts during the investment advice process. It does this by splitting the learning over 4 learning outcomes:

As mentioned, this is one of the more difficult subjects to ‘question spot’ for- since there are only four syllabus areas and they are so broad. For example, it is not possible to tell how many questions there will be on Capital Gains Tax versus Inheritance Tax so a good level of understanding of all the major taxes will be required.
